Clinical content that earns authority with Google and with patients
Google applies its strictest quality bar to pages that could affect someone's health. Generic marketing copy does not clear it. Content written and signed off by a registered clinician does.
Why healthcare content is judged differently
Google groups health, finance and safety topics into a category where it demands demonstrable expertise, experience, authority and trust. In practice that means it wants to see who wrote the page, what they are qualified to say, when it was last checked, and what it is based on.
A page about sciatica written by a copywriter who has never examined a patient will lose to a page written by a physiotherapist with a registration number, every time. That is an advantage for you, and most clinics never use it.
How we write it
- Question research. We collect what patients actually ask, from search data and from your own clinic's phone calls and consultations.
- Clinician drafting. Registered clinicians write the substance. We do not outsource health writing to generalists.
- Editorial pass. Plain English, sensible reading level, no claims that would trouble the ASA or your regulator.
- Review and versioning. Named reviewer, review date, and a scheduled recheck so guidance does not silently go stale.
- Structured markup. Article, MedicalWebPage, FAQ and author schema so search engines can read the credentials as data.
Being the source an AI quotes
A growing share of health questions never reach a blue link. They are answered inside an AI overview or a chat window, which summarises from sources it considers reliable.
Being quoted there depends on things you can control: clear direct answers near the top of the page, clean heading structure, factual statements that can be extracted without distortion, named credentialled authors, and consistent information about your clinic across the web. We write with that in mind rather than treating it as a separate service.
One piece of work, many formats
Each substantial article becomes a short video script, a set of social posts, an email to your patient list, and a printable handout for the clinic. Clinicians are already time-poor; the content should work harder than they do.
